Style usually gets asked about with a picture: I want it like this. In the workshop it turns into three things \u2014 the line of the fronts, the material and the hardware. Below are three styles and what physically separates them, rather than the mood they carry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modern Is What Has Been Left Out<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You recognise a modern front by what is absent: no applied handles, no milling, no frames. It opens on a recessed profile along the top edge of the door, or on a push.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The palette is narrow: white, grey, black, beige. The materials are painted MDF, Fenix and metal fronts. Fenix has a matt surface that keeps no fingerprints, and small scratches close up on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Handleless<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The point behind all of it is one: the run has to read as a single surface, without one horizontal line cutting across it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Scandinavian Style Rests on Wood, Not on White<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A white kitchen does not become Scandinavian on its own. The style appears where light natural wood stands next to the white.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The palette is white, cream and light grey, with the tone of the wood itself alongside them. The materials are light-species veneer and wood-decor laminated board. The open shelves come from the same place: they show the wood where a closed cabinet would hide it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neoclassical: a Milled Pattern Instead of Applied Decor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A classical shape in a contemporary build means the frame is not glued onto the front but milled into the MDF panel itself. The surface stays whole and the relief on it is real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The palette is warm and deep: cream, grey, gold, dark blue. The worktop is stone. The hardware stays visible here: a classically shaped handle and brass work as part of the front pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One Veneer Works in Two of the Three Styles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Natural veneer is a layer of real wood on a stable base. The species: oak, ash, walnut, wenge, zebrano. The texture is its own on every panel, and it can be tinted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is why one material goes into different styles. In a light tone it gives the Scandinavian, in a natural one the neoclassical, and in a dark one next to matt black wall cabinets the modern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"L-shaped<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Wood has a care regime of its own: dedicated products and no direct sun. Unprotected wood darkens, so we take materials with UV protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Style Changes the Fronts, Not the Carcass<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The carcass, the layout and the dimensions do not depend on the style. What changes is the fronts, the hardware and the worktop \u2014 the outer layer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In practice this means the style does not have to be settled before the measuring. The room dictates the layout, the style stays yours to choose, and it can be fixed at the project stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
