Painted MDF: a kitchen front in any NCS or RAL tone
Kitchen colour is chosen by eye but delivered by the material: which tones are possible at all, and how they sit on the part, is decided by the front material. We paint MDF as a whole, and a catalogue number becomes the colour of the whole part.
Your colour is a number in a catalogue
We make painted MDF in any tone from the NCS and RAL catalogues. You name the number, and that is the number we paint the fronts to. In these catalogues a colour is marked by a number rather than a word: everyone pictures “a warm grey” differently, but you and the workshop read the number the same way.
FENIX and veneer, our other front materials, have a narrower palette. So when the tone for the kitchen has already been named, we talk about painted MDF: it follows your number instead of offering its own.

The tone covers the whole part
The colour of a painted front does not stop at the face. We machine and paint the MDF as a whole, so the face, the edge and the relief all take one tone. The chosen number is on the edge as well, on that narrow strip where the front is opened by hand.
Pattern and handle in the same tone
We cut the pattern into a painted front before painting. First we set the width of the frame, the spacing of the lines and the depth and radius of the milling: these decide whether the pattern stays calm or catches the eye. We paint the part only afterwards, already with its relief, so the milling comes out in the same tone as the front. This is how our milled fronts are made, with the pattern inside the part itself.
Painted MDF is especially suitable when a handle milled into the edge is wanted alongside that tone: the front opens without surface-mounted hardware. Such a handle is not matched by colour — it is cut into the same front and stays in the same tone.
Care — a soft cloth and a neutral cleaner
The coating of painted MDF is wiped with a soft damp cloth and a neutral cleaner. Dark matt tones are a choice to make with your eyes open: fingerprints and minor damage show on them more clearly than on light ones.
The number stays the same, but the light decides how the tone looks: it is different in the morning by the window, in the evening under a lamp, and on a screen. Come to the showroom and look at your chosen number on a sample: held in the hand, the tone is visible at once, and you no longer have to imagine it.
