A tall cabinet is designed around a convenient access scenario

We compare not just capacity, but visibility, access to the contents and the number of movements in everyday use.

Principle of choice

One volume, different access logic

Ordinary shelves give maximum freedom in height, but require reaching into the depth. Pull-out systems bring the contents to the user, but the mechanism takes up part of the carcass and requires precise calculation.

Tall SPACE TOWER cabinet with individually pulled-out internal drawers
Each level pulls out independently.

Independent internal drawers

SPACE TOWER

The tall cabinet splits into separate pull-out levels. Each drawer opens independently, with its contents visible from above and accessible from three sides.

  • the cabinet's width is not tied to a single narrow format
  • levels can be arranged for packaging of different heights
  • only the needed storage zone opens

Narrow pull-out SPACE TWIN cabinet between kitchen units
The narrow carcass's contents come out fully in front of the door.

Using a narrow gap

SPACE TWIN

The narrow carcass becomes a fully-fledged pull-out module. Its contents depend on width: bottles, spices, narrow jars or small packaging.

  • uses up the leftover width in the layout
  • a metal or wooden drawer is possible
  • the contents pull out in front of the carcass

Tall pull-out DISPENSA column with baskets for food
The whole column pulls out together with the front.

A single pull-out column

DISPENSA

The whole internal frame comes out together with the front. The baskets are accessible from both sides, and the levels can be repositioned to match the actual height of food and dishes.

  • the whole stock is visible in one opening
  • the baskets adjust for height
  • requires precise adjustment of front and carcass

Open tall TANDEM cabinet with shelves on the door and inside the carcass
The door shelves and the internal block open in sequence.

Two storage zones behind one door

TANDEM

Some shelves sit on the door, while the internal block moves closer to the opening when it swings open. This gives a view of both zones without reaching deep into the cabinet.

  • the front zone works like a fridge door
  • the rear shelves come closer to the user
  • needs a wide opening and a clear path for the door

How to choose a system

Base your choice on access, not on the number of baskets

The same tall cabinet can be organised in different ways. What matters more is understanding how often you use the stock and whether you want to open the whole volume in one movement.

Everyday access

SPACE TOWER

Each level opens separately, and the contents are clearly visible from above.

Narrow wall gap

SPACE TWIN

Uses a small width for bottles, spices and narrow jars.

All the stock at once

DISPENSA

The whole column comes out together with the front and opens access from both sides.

Two zones behind one door

TANDEM

The shelves on the door and inside the carcass become visible with one opening.

What to consider

A tall cabinet works together with neighbouring units

  • A pull-out front or a hinged door needs free space in front of the cabinet. We check the walkway, the island and neighbouring handles with the door in its open position.
  • The mechanism itself takes up part of the internal volume. So we compare not the cabinet's outer size, but the space actually available on the shelves and in the drawers.
  • Stock of different heights needs a different spacing between levels. It is better to work out what will be stored before the shelves and baskets are fixed in place.
  • A single column opens the whole stock at once, while independent drawers let you reach only the level you need. The choice depends on your usual way of working.
  • A tall front is sensitive to adjustment. The carcass, runners and cabinet fixing must keep an even movement under a full load.
  • TANDEM uses the door as a separate storage zone, so we coordinate its path with neighbouring fronts and a clear walkway.
